This page covers the area that is supported by the Ballyhac Cove GMRS station in Owl's Head. This includes Owl's Head south of the Rt. 73 & North Shore Road intersection, substantial parts of So. Thomaston and parts of Spruce Head.

Attended Operation: Generally 15 minutes before the hour for 15 minutes, day and evening, during significant storms.

Voice Recording (regularly monitored): When attended operation is not possible and continuously during extended periods of power and communications outage. Leave your name, message and to whom the message is going. This service is good for weather reports and general situation reports.

Amateur Radio Services: Relays to County EMA and National Weather Service, Personal messaging via Radiogram and Winlink radio-email.

Tested with Uniden GMR5095-2CKHS on high FRS power (1.9 watts) held at street level.

Low spots between Rt.73 & No. Shore Rd. and the Rockland/Owl's Head town line have no coverage but higher areas have acceptable coverage.
